Richard is looking good this morning. We'll be resting him (likely against his will ;) today, as well as everyone else enjoying a well earned and well needed sabbath day of hanging out and some shopping.
Spirits are high in the breakfast tent!
Scary Moment
Sorry for the lack of updates today. We had quite a scare today. An errant backswing of a crowbar from one of our team hit Richard Kwon in the head at the Suzuki's house today. It scared us quite a bit and I decided it would be best to get him checked out by a doctor immediately. So we got him to the hospital and the doctors ran all of the proper tests. The medical staff was absolutely amazing. Japanese hospitals are truly top notch. The scans all came back clean and the doctor gave him the ok to come back to our houses. Richard is doing well now and is back with the team. Some of the longest moments of the trip waiting with him. It shook our team up pretty bad and we're talking through the emotions and feelings involved. On the plus side all of our safety procedures and prep worked really well. We had no trouble getting a hold of the right people (me, our driver, and the hospital) and getting him care ASAP. Preparation paid off. So praise God for His provision and care. He is definitely watching over us, I've never been more certain in my life.
