Made it!

We're here! 2:30am local time. Going to try to get some sleep and hit the ground running in the morning.

We made it through customs and received our train passes after a looong (2 hr) wait. As I type we're riding on our charter bus north to Ishinomaki. It's pretty much silent now as everyone finally lets their bodies crash (they made it to 8pm!). The teens have done remarkably well. It was really fun to watch the teens mix and mingle on the airplane, changing seats constantly. Lots of good conversations took place. They were marveling at the ramen bowls and tech in the airport as we waited. We should arrive into Ishinomaki close to 3am. Pray for their energy levels tomorrow. It's going to be a tough day as the jet lag sets in. We'll update you tomorrow as we're able!

On the bus!

We arrived smoothly and Meredith arrived within a half hour after us. God is good. We are all in good spirits, a little punchy as its somewhere in the middle of the night back home, but are currently being entertained by all of the cars on the wrong side of the road ;)
As you wake, pray for good rest and quick recovery for hitting the ground running.
